Hear From Our Clients
A reputation built on 350+ client experiences across our premier locations.
You’re not looking for a surface-level fix. You want your skin to look healthy, feel smooth, and stop reminding you how tired you are every time you look in the mirror.
Professional facials at a med spa go deeper than anything you can do at home. Medical-grade exfoliation clears away dead cells that make your complexion look dull. Deep cleansing pulls bacteria and toxins out of pores you didn’t even know were clogged. Extractions—done by someone who actually knows what they’re doing—clear blemishes without leaving marks or causing infection.
The difference shows up in how your skin looks a week later, not just when you walk out the door. Fewer breakouts. Smaller pores. A complexion that doesn’t need a filter. Your skin rejuvenation happens at the cellular level, which is why results last longer than any at-home treatment you’ve tried.
We bring over 15 years of medical aesthetics experience to Seaside and the surrounding Long Island communities. Founded by Jennifer DiLandro, a nurse practitioner with 18+ years in the field, our practice operates under full medical supervision with licensed aestheticians and nurse practitioners overseeing every treatment.
This isn’t a day spa offering the same generic facial to everyone who walks through the door. We customize every treatment plan based on your skin type, concerns, and goals—whether you’re dealing with acne, aging, hyperpigmentation, or just want to maintain healthy skin. Seaside residents benefit from access to the same advanced spa treatments and medical-grade products we use across our Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island locations, all while staying close to home on the South Shore.
Your facial starts with a consultation. Your aesthetician evaluates your skin, asks about your concerns, and explains which treatment approach makes sense for you. No guessing, no one-size-fits-all.
The treatment itself begins with thorough cleansing to remove makeup, oil, and surface impurities. Next comes exfoliation—either manual or using medical-grade products that work at a deeper level than drugstore scrubs. If extractions are part of your plan, your aesthetician removes blackheads, whiteheads, and blemishes safely, without the scarring or infection risk that comes from doing it yourself.
Depending on your treatment type, you might receive a chemical peel, laser therapy, or specialized serums targeting specific issues like dark spots or fine lines. The session finishes with hydration—professional eye creams, serums, and moisturizers formulated to lock in results and protect your skin.
Most facials take 60-90 minutes. Some treatments require minimal downtime, while others like chemical peels or laser facials may need a few days of recovery. Your aesthetician walks you through aftercare so you know exactly what to expect and how to protect your results at home.

We offer multiple facial types because different skin concerns require different approaches. Traditional facials work well for maintenance and general skin health—cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration customized to your skin type. These skincare treatments form the foundation of any good routine.
Laser facials use advanced technology to address deeper concerns like wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin texture. Carbon facials combine laser treatment with a carbon mask to shrink pores, reduce oil production, and clear acne-causing bacteria. These treatments are particularly effective for Seaside residents dealing with oily or acne-prone skin.
Hydrafacials provide deep hydration while simultaneously cleansing and exfoliating—ideal for skin that’s been dried out by Long Island’s coastal winds and summer sun exposure. Chemical peels target hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and fine lines by removing damaged outer layers and stimulating cell turnover. Microdermabrasion physically exfoliates to improve texture and reduce the appearance of scars.
Living near the water means your skin faces constant exposure to salt air, humidity, and intense UV rays—even on cloudy days. These environmental factors accelerate aging and can trigger sensitivity or breakouts. We consider Seaside’s coastal climate when recommending treatments and products, focusing on skin rejuvenation approaches that address both immediate concerns and long-term protection.
Most clients see optimal results with regular treatments every 4-6 weeks, though your specific plan depends on your skin’s needs and goals. Consistency matters more than intensity when it comes to maintaining healthy skin.
The best way to determine the right facial is through a consultation with one of our licensed aestheticians who can evaluate your skin in person. Your skin type, primary concerns, and goals all factor into the recommendation.
If you’re dealing with active acne or oily skin, treatments like carbon facials or deep cleansing facials with extractions typically work best. These target excess oil production and clear clogged pores. For aging concerns—fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness—laser facials or chemical peels stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture at a deeper level.
Hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and uneven tone respond well to vitamin C facials or specific chemical peels designed to lighten dark spots. If your main concern is dryness or dullness, hydrating facials or hydrafacials deliver moisture while improving overall radiance. We can also combine treatments or adjust the approach as your skin changes with seasons, stress levels, or hormonal shifts.
It depends on the treatment type. Traditional facials with cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration typically leave your skin looking refreshed immediately, with no downtime. You might have slight redness for an hour or two, but most people go straight back to their day.
Treatments that work deeper—like chemical peels or laser facials—can cause temporary redness, peeling, or flaking as your skin sheds damaged cells and regenerates. This is normal and actually indicates the treatment is working. The peeling phase usually lasts 3-7 days depending on the peel strength. During this time, your skin may look dry or flaky, but it’s not permanent.
If you have an event coming up, we recommend scheduling deeper treatments at least two weeks in advance to allow full recovery time. For maintenance facials, you can typically schedule them any time. Your aesthetician will explain exactly what to expect based on your specific treatment, including how long any redness or peeling might last and what you can do to support the healing process.
Most people see the best results with professional facials every 4-6 weeks. This timing aligns with your skin’s natural cell turnover cycle, which takes about 28 days. Regular treatments help maintain clear pores, consistent texture, and overall skin health.
If you’re addressing specific concerns like acne or hyperpigmentation, you might start with more frequent treatments—every 2-3 weeks—until you see improvement, then transition to monthly maintenance. For anti-aging goals, consistent monthly facials combined with a solid at-home skincare routine typically deliver the most noticeable, lasting results.
Your treatment frequency also depends on the facial type. Gentler treatments like hydrafacials can be done more frequently, while stronger chemical peels or laser treatments might be spaced 6-8 weeks apart to allow full recovery between sessions. Seaside’s coastal environment can be harsh on skin, so residents dealing with sun exposure or salt air damage might benefit from more frequent hydrating treatments. We’ll create a schedule that makes sense for your skin, your concerns, and your budget.
The main difference is medical supervision and access to clinical-grade treatments. Our med spa facials are performed by licensed medical aestheticians under the supervision of doctors or nurse practitioners. This means you’re getting treatments that are more advanced, more targeted, and backed by medical expertise.
We use medical-grade products and equipment that aren’t available at regular day spas—things like prescription-strength chemical peels, laser technology, and clinical skincare formulations. These treatments penetrate deeper and deliver more significant results for concerns like acne, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and aging.
Day spa facials focus primarily on relaxation and surface-level care. They feel nice, but they’re not designed to address medical-grade skin concerns. If you’re dealing with persistent acne, sun damage, or visible signs of aging, a med spa facial gives you access to treatments that can actually change your skin’s condition, not just temporarily improve how it looks. The trade-off is that med spa treatments are more clinical and results-focused, while traditional spa facials prioritize the pampering experience.
Professional facials can significantly improve acne when done correctly by someone who knows what they’re doing. The key is proper extraction technique and using treatments that address the root causes—excess oil, clogged pores, and bacteria.
Deep cleansing facials remove the buildup that causes breakouts. Professional extractions clear existing blemishes without causing the scarring or infection that often happens when you try to do it yourself at home. Treatments like carbon facials use laser technology to kill acne-causing bacteria and shrink oil glands, which reduces future breakouts.
That said, if extractions are done improperly or if harsh products are used on already inflamed skin, facials can temporarily make acne look worse. This is why working with a licensed medical aesthetician matters. We know how to work with active acne safely, when to extract and when to leave it alone, and which products will help versus irritate your skin. You might experience a brief “purging” phase where your skin clears out deeper congestion, but this is different from a reaction or worsening acne. Your aesthetician will explain what’s normal and what’s not so you know what to expect.
Preparation is minimal for most facials, but a few simple steps help you get better results. Arrive with a clean face if possible—remove makeup before your appointment. If you can’t, your aesthetician will cleanse your skin as the first step, but coming in clean saves time.
If you’re getting a chemical peel or laser facial, avoid using retinoids, exfoliating acids, or other active ingredients for 3-5 days before your appointment. These can make your skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation. Also skip waxing or other hair removal on your face for at least a week before treatment.
For the day of your appointment, don’t apply heavy creams, oils, or makeup that will just need to be removed. If you’re getting a deeper treatment like a peel, plan for downtime afterward—no major events or photo sessions for at least a week. Make sure you have a good sunscreen at home since your skin will be more sensitive to sun exposure after treatment. We’ll give you specific pre-treatment instructions when you book, especially if you’re getting a more intensive facial. Following these guidelines ensures your skin is in the best condition to respond to treatment.
